Mithya Sankar, a 1.5-year-old girl from Palakkad, Kerala, India, required treatment for a congenital heart condition and underwent VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) Closure.

In 2017, Mithya received specialised cardiac treatment at AIMS, Cochin. VSD closure is performed to repair an abnormal opening between the lower chambers of the heart, helping improve blood circulation and reduce additional strain on the heart.
